Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lance Mills (ranked 4938 p4p, 470 weight class) and Dave Glasser (ranked 4683 p4p, 452 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave Glasser! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mills scores with a takedown into Glasser's guard. Mills trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Glasser looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Glasser keeping moving, preventing Mills from controlling successfully. Mills controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Glasser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mills is one step ahead there. Mills slips nicely into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Glasser trying to hold on to Mills's head to control him but Mills postures up.

Mills stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glasser swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mills not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mills tries to free his leg and advance position but Glasser is retaining full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Glasser can do anything to dispel that myth. Mills not doing a lot at the moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Glasser is on top in guard.

Glasser trying to control the position from guard on top but Mills is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mills is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Glasser throws a strike but Mills rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Glasser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mills pushing down on Glasser's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mills works his way into full mount! Mills is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Glasser to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Glasser shrugs it off. Mills takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mills jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Glasser is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Glasser and Mills has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glasser manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mills is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mills looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lance Mills dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Glasser manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mills on his heels. He'll look to pass Mills's guard now, I'm sure. Glasser wants to control from the top but Mills keeps moving. Mills is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Glasser is aware though and is defending well. Glasser throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mills works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mills has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Glasser can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mills keeping moving, preventing Glasser from controlling successfully.
