Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steven stuffs the takedown.
jovanovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
jovanovic fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Steven shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Steven showed some decent athleticism there.
jovanovic wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
jovanovic is trying to maintain the position but Steven is very close to passing his half guard.
jovanovic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Steven is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Steven is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so jovanovic is just riding it out for now. Steven eventually gives up the hold.
Steven is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Steven stops jovanovic from getting back to his feet.
Steven is trying to work for a kimura but jovanovic is defending well.
Steven looks gassed!

Steven is sneakily working for an arm triangle but jovanovic sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Steven is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and jovanovic defends it well.
Steven moves into full mount! jovanovic won't be happy about that!
jovanovic tries to hold on but Steven pushes him away.
jovanovic is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Steven is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But jovanovic has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from jovanovic!
Steven looking for submissions from the bottom but instead jovanovic passes into side control.

jovanovic wants to control but Steven is keeping him busy.
Steven tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
jovanovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steven swats him away and circles back towards the center.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
jovanovic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Steven counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for boban jovanovic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steven has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can jovanovic defend it? Steven steps over the head and cranks it - jovanovic is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Steven!
