PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yormomza Built (ranked 1759 p4p, 223 weight class) and Sione Feti (ranked 1406 p4p, 192 weight class). Feti comes into a darkened arena with his song building. S-Tool - Lights Out kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sione Feti told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yormomza Built!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sione Feti!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feti takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Feti jabs at Built's body.
Feti tries to land a body kick
and Built counters with a nice low kick that buckles Feti's knee momentarily.

Built has closed the distance and engaged Feti in a clinch.
Built's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Feti softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A short left from Built.
Feti stalling in the clinch but Built improves position.
Built lands with a right to the head.

Built pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A slapping body kick lands there for Feti.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Feti cracks Built with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Feti misses with an uppercut. Built saw that one coming.
Feti connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Yormomza Built has been cut.
Feti throws a head kick that misses.
Built was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Built tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Feti is able to avoid easily.
Feti scores with the left hand. Built knows he should have avoided that one.
Feti throws a looping overhand right but Built ducks down to avoid it.
Good standup being displayed there by Feti as he connects with a hook.
Feti misses with a kick to the body.
Built was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Feti looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Feti tries to land a front kick but Built steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Feti throws a quick inside leg kick.
Built tries to score with a low kick but Feti moves his leg out of the way.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Feti throws a big shot that misses.
Feti lands with a hook. Built tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Feti rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Built counters with a thumping low kick.
Built has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hare of the Dog Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Feti walks forward, straight into a front kick from Built.
Built connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Built checks the leg kick nicely there.
Built seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Feti throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Built punishes Feti's body with a nice straight punch.
Built moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Built misses the shot to the body.
Feti follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Built swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Built swings for the body but Feti moves out of range.
Good exchange - Feti coming out on top.
The fighters circle momentarily. Built darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That kick from Feti tenderised Built's leg. Built is trying to keep his angry face on.
Built throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Built rushes Feti with punches - Feti moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Feti goes down! Built follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
