Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hank Jackson (ranked 4501 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doadan Beachgon (ranked 4794 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hank Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Doadan Beachgon! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Beachgon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. That kick from Jackson tenderised Beachgon's leg. Beachgon is trying to keep his angry face on. Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Beachgon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Beachgon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Beachgon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Beachgon wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Beachgon preventing the sweep. Jackson pulls Beachgon in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Beachgon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beachgon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Beachgon postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jackson is looking to slow Beachgon down with leg kicks. Jackson throws a nice outside leg kick. Jackson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Beachgon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Beachgon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Beachgon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Beachgon content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beachgon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Beachgon eventually gives up the hold. Jackson trying to control here.
Jackson wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is working hard here to advance position. Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Beachgon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beachgon is working away from the top position though. Beachgon is controlling the pace.
It looks like Beachgon might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Beachgon wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position. Jackson wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Beachgon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Beachgon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard. Jackson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Beachgon manages to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson has a hand on Beachgon's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Beachgon takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Beachgon scoring with strikes but Jackson is staying in there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Beachgon controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doadan Beachgon dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Beachgon moves out of range easily. Beachgon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Beachgon blocks a head kick by Jackson.

Jackson tries to break free but Beachgon pushes him back against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Beachgon - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beachgon effectively controlling the action here. Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beachgon has him pressed against the cage. Beachgon blocking some punches.
Jackson swings wildly with an uppercut but Beachgon uses good head movement to avoid it. Beachgon has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jackson is trying to keep an underhook but Beachgon manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beachgon controlling the pace. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Beachgon has control of the leg. Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Beachgon sits in half guard. Beachgon decides to return to a standing position. Beachgon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side. A big right from Jackson misses. Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Beachgon's front leg but catches the back leg as Beachgon tries to avoid it. Beachgon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hank Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doadan Beachgon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Beachgon moves out of range easily. Beachgon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Beachgon lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Doadan Beachgon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson thows a leg kick but Beachgon checks it and Beachgon counters with a good, hard body kick but Jackson shrugs it off. Jackson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Beachgon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jackson can pounce on him.
Beachgon closes the distance and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jackson working aggressively here.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jackson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Beachgon's brow. Beachgon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Beachgon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Beachgon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jackson, right into the meat.
Jackson stuffs the takedown. Beachgon is breathing heavily. Jackson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jackson throws a head kick that misses. Beachgon replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Jackson blocks it well. Beachgon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hank Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Beachgon's calf. Jackson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Beachgon shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Beachgon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson lands a leg kick that knocks Beachgon off balance momentarily. Beachgon avoids the head kick by Jackson.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Beachgon moves out of range easily. Jackson throws a leg kick that misses. Jackson misses with a leg kick and Beachgon counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Beachgon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Beachgon pulls guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson is looking to stand up but Beachgon won't let him. Beachgon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Beachgon has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up. Beachgon is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. Jackson wants to stand and escape but instead Beachgon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jackson wants to sweep here but Beachgon controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hank Jackson dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jackson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. Jackson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Beachgon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson wants to improve his position but Beachgon is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking to get back to full guard here but Beachgon has managed to pass to side control instead. Beachgon wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy. Jackson wants to control but Beachgon postures up. Beachgon stands up and we're back to a striking position. Beachgon misses with a double jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson thumps Beachgon with a low kick. Jackson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Beachgon shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jackson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Beachgon counters with a head kick. That will keep Jackson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Beachgon slips a straight right by Jackson. Beachgon ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Hank Jackson is winning the standup battle so far. Jackson connects with a solid leg kick. Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.

Beachgon rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jackson tries to circle away but Beachgon has him pinned against the cage. Jackson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jackson is trying to break free. Beachgon breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Jackson. Jackson connects with a leg kick. Beachgon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Beachgon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Beachgon dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Beachgon's head and hops out. Jackson lands a head kick. Beachgon smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick misses from Jackson. Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beachgon tries to counter by closing the distance. Jackson throws a nice outside leg kick. Beachgon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Beachgon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jackson. That did some damage!
