Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Pexton!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pexton tries to clinch but Penn moves out of range.
Penn throws a leg kick but Pexton checks it.
BJ Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pexton doesn't manage to clinch there - Penn circles away.
Jab, jab by Penn - just one landing.
Penn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pexton drives through and clinches with Penn against the ropes.
Pexton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Penn scores with a one two! Pexton had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Lucas Pexton has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pexton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Penn fails to land with a series of punches.

Pexton is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Penn pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Pexton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Pexton is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Pexton creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Penn breaks the clinch.
Penn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pexton pinned against the cage. Pexton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Pexton counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Pexton is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Penn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Penn is trying to maintain a safe position but Pexton gets an underhook and turns Penn into the ropes.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Penn.
Pexton decides to pull guard.
Penn wanted to stand there but Pexton had control of the position.
Penn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pexton, up you get!
Penn is breathing heavily.

and Penn counters with a one-two to the body.
Pexton misses with a head kick.
Penn closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pexton counters with a good, hard body kick but Penn shrugs it off.

Pexton slips a jab and a cross from Penn.
Pexton closes the distance and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Penn tries to score a body lock takedown but Pexton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from Pexton.

Pexton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Pexton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pexton.
Pexton gets control of Penn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pexton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Pexton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Penn's guard.
Penn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pexton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Penn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Pexton wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving.
Penn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pexton thows a big elbow that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Penn has his takedown stuffed
and Pexton counters with a right hand to the body.
Pexton gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Pexton jumps guard but Penn stands there with Pexton around his waist. Pexton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Penn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Pexton prevents Penn from breaking the clinch.
Penn is looking to break free of the clinch but Pexton has double underhooks.
Penn tries for a takedown. No joy.
Penn wants to get back to striking at distance but Pexton won't allow it.
Penn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Pexton has Penn pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Penn manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Penn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pexton circles away.
Penn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Penn manages to break the clinch.
Penn shoots in looking for a takedown. Pexton tries to sprawl out of it but Penn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Pexton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pexton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Penn throws a nice looking combination but Pexton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Penn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pexton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pexton is pressed up against the ropes. Penn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pexton down to the mat. Pexton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pexton darts in and clinches Penn up against the ropes.
Pexton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Pexton is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Penn has his hands clasped together but Pexton extends an breaks Penn's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pexton.
