And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Curtis lands a jab.
Scorpy shoots in for a takedown but Curtis shows good takedown defense.
Nice sprawl there from Curtis as Scorpy shoots in.
Curtis connects with a high kick.

It looks like British Scorpy has been cut.
Curtis scores with a hook to the body. Scorpy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Scorpy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Curtis but Curtis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for British Scorpy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scorpy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Curtis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Scorpy at a distance.
Scorpy goes for a double leg but Curtis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Curtis continues to drive forward.
Scorpy takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Curtis counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Scorpy is breathing heavily.
Scorpy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Curtis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Scorpy scrambles back to his feet.

Curtis scores with a push kick.
Curtis works Scorpy's body with a nice hook.

Curtis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Scorpy sprawling to the canvas! Scorpy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Curtis finish him?!

Scorpy is rocked!
Matt Curtis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Curtis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Oh Scorpy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Curtis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Scorpy seems to have got his legs back now.
Curtis ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Scorpy's jaw. Scorpy's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Curtis does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matt Curtis!
A relieved looking Matt Curtis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
