And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Kanitz!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford swings for the body but Kanitz moves out of range.
Kanitz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ford checks a low kick from Kanitz.
Kanitz misses the jab.
Ford tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kanitz manages to circle out of the way.
Kanitz looks for the body kick but Ford saw that one coming.
Kanitz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ford throws a combination. Kanitz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kanitz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Donk. Ford catches Kanitz right on the button with a cross.
Ford blocks the body kick.
Ford lands the left hand.


Kanitz is rocked!
Ford jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ford slips a jab from Kanitz.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ford looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ford punishes Kanitz's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kanitz lands with a short shot to the head.

Kanitz dodges an elbow strike from Ford.

Kanitz looks winded!
Ford lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kanitz backwards.
Ford throws an upwards elbow that knocks Kanitz out cold! Wow! You do not see a knockout like that very often - that will be on youtube highlights for years to come!
