Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Soap Mactavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Strader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaleb Strader is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaleb Strader! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mactavish tries to clinch there but Strader circles away.
Mactavish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Strader swats him away and circles back towards the center. Soap Mactavish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mactavish doesn't manage to clinch there - Strader circles away.
Mactavish stuffs the takedown. Nice takedown defense from Mactavish. No joy for Strader on that attempt. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mactavish darts in and clinches Strader up against the cage. Mactavish tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Strader changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mactavish looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Strader is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mactavish has escaped the position, nice work there. Strader lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Strader looks up at the clock and then as Mactavish takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Strader smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Strader creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mactavish pushes Strader away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Strader gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Mactavish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strader on the ground. Strader landing strikes. Strader postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mactavish moves in looking to clinch but Strader pushes him off. Strader throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mactavish's waist but Mactavish gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Strader off to one side. Mactavish is looking to clinch but Strader is avoiding it.
Strader shoots in but no luck this time. Mactavish wants to clinch up but Strader keeps it at a distance. Mactavish tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Strader keeps the fight on the outside. Mactavish has Strader up against the cage in a clinch.

Strader tightens his grip and picks Mactavish up, before dumping him to the ground. Mactavish manages to land in guard. Mactavish has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Strader off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Mactavish tries to clinch up. Mactavish tries to close the distance and clinch but Strader swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strader connects with a couple of short punches. Mactavish is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Strader is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strader is looking to work some ground and pound but Mactavish has wrist control. Mactavish has momentary wrist control but Strader slips an elbow through the middle. Strader stops Mactavish from standing up. Strader lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Strader fails with a takedown attempt. Mactavish tries to clinch up and Strader counters with a shoot takedown. Mactavish fights it but they end up in guard. Mactavish wants to stand but Strader is controlling the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strader wants to control from the top but Mactavish keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaleb Strader dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
The fight moves into the clinch position. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strader creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mactavish tries a knee to the head but Strader blocks it.

Mactavish with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Strader has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mactavish is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Strader lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mactavish backwards. Strader lands a right hand. Mactavish with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Strader pulls guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mactavish would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Strader looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mactavish is defending well. Strader quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mactavish has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Strader celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
