Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davido Monto (ranked 2110 p4p, 262 weight class) and Daniel Bergstrem (ranked 2286 p4p, 277 weight class). Bergstrem has chosen The Cranberries - Zombie as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Daniel Bergstrem was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergstrem closes the distance looking to clinch

and Monto counters with a single leg into guard. Bergstrem didn't expect that.
Monto is looking to work some ground and pound but Bergstrem has wrist control.
Bergstrem looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Monto lands a couple of elbows.
Monto postures up in Bergstrem's guard and throws a big left but Bergstrem blocks it.

Monto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Monto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Monto missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Monto trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Monto slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Monto throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Monto has an Americana. Bergstrem didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Monto is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Monto hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
