Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Twist (ranked 3947 p4p, 450 weight class) and Simon Gustafsson (ranked 1105 p4p, 156 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Gustafsson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gustafsson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gustafsson lands in his opponent's guard. Gustafsson drops back looking for a leg! Twist is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Twist manages to kick Gustafsson off! Gustafsson jumps back into Twist's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gustafsson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Twist manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gustafsson has Twist in his guard. Twist looking to pass the guard. Gustafsson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gustafsson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Twist defends well. Gustafsson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Twist won't allow Gustafsson to sweep him here. Gustafsson has his foot on Twist's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Twist works his way back into a safe position though. Twist has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gustafsson is proving hard to escape from. Twist has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Gustafsson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Twist can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Twist trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Twist in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Gustafsson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Twist doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Twist manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gustafsson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Twist frees his head nicely. Oh but Gustafsson has switched to an armbar! Twist is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
