Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Showtime (ranked 3249 p4p, 386 weight class) and Max Palmer (ranked 2812 p4p, 0 weight class). Showtime comes to the cage accompanied by Old Toms Hut. Rick Showtime has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showtime slips a jab and a cross from Palmer.
Showtime throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Showtime misses with a jab, cross combination.
Showtime throws a series of punches but Palmer moves out of range.

and Showtime counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A frustrated look appears on Palmer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Palmer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Showtime has Palmer pressed against the cage, preventing Palmer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Showtime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Showtime fails with a takedown attempt.
Palmer throws a counter combo.
Palmer lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Rick Showtime has been cut.

Palmer steps into range and cracks Showtime with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Showtime flops backwards and Palmer dives into his guard looking to finish!

Showtime is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Palmer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Showtime is proving hard to escape from.
Oh Showtime is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Palmer is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Showtime seems to have got his legs back now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Showtime has his feet on Palmer's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Palmer gets in close and tags Showtime with a short punch that almost sends Showtime to the mat! Oh Showtime is in big trouble! He turns his back on Palmer, trying to create some distance but Palmer rushes him, striking wildly and Showtime goes down! The referee tackles Palmer into the cage to end the fight! Palmer is one violent man!
