Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Adams's waist but Adams gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fisher off to one side.
Fisher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fisher shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice sprawl there from Adams as Fisher shoots in.
Brian Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Fisher.
Fisher fails with a takedown attempt.
Fisher looks gassed!

Adams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fisher is looking to reverse the position.
Adams tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Adams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Adams really is a fat lump.

Adams gets a takedown into half guard.
Fisher is not content to let Adams control the position.
Fisher on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Adams is working for a kimura but Fisher is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adams's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fisher looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fisher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Adams!

Fisher is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Adams is surviving well by controlling Fisher's body position as best he can.
Fisher moves to the back position.
Adams staying busy and making it hard for Fisher to control.

Fisher is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Adams defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Adams tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Fisher is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fisher is landing with some decent strikes but Adams is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Fisher is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Adams is surviving well by controlling Fisher's body position as best he can.
Adams can't escape the position.

Fisher has control of Adams's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Adams regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Adams tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Fisher looking to secure an arm triangle but Adams defends it well.
Adams seems to have got his legs back now.
Adams swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Adams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fisher swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Adams is now in Fisher's guard. A big mistake from Fisher there, giving up the dominant position!

Adams stands up from Fisher's guard - Adams perhaps looking for a knockout.

Adams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fisher is looking to sweep but instead, Adams has passed into half guard.
Adams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fisher keeps working.
Fisher is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fisher makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fisher.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chris Fisher will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Adams closes the distance and clinches up with Fisher, looking for a takedown. Adams pushes Fisher against the cage but Fisher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Adams decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fisher's guard.
Adams won't allow Fisher to get back to his feet.

Fisher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Adams is one step ahead there.

Adams stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

and Adams counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fisher's guard now.

Fisher throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Adams escapes and throws Fisher's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Adams is looking for a kimura but Fisher is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Adams to get the leverage.

Fisher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Adams is in close to Fisher's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fisher tries to keep at a distance but Adams has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fisher looking to stall.
Fisher lands a right hand.
Fisher fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fisher drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Adams gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fisher changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Adams fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Adams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fisher won't allow Adams to pass to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Adams is looking to take a break and control but Fisher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Fisher gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Adams counters with a shoot takedown. Fisher fights it but they end up in guard.

Fisher had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Adams is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fisher Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Adams's back instead.
Adams turns into Fisher and is now in his guard.
Adams is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Adams chips away with some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Adams's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Adams lands a couple of digs.
Fisher has momentary wrist control but Adams slips an elbow through the middle.

Adams stands and steps away. Fisher gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Adams prevents a takedown attempt there.

Adams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Adams.

Adams jumps guard but Fisher stands there with Adams around his waist. Adams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Adams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fisher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Adams stands up over Fisher, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Adams pushes down on Fisher's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Adams seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fisher for as long as he can get away with.

Fisher is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.

Adams pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Adams tries to control but Fisher wriggling away.
Fisher regains half guard.

Fisher is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Adams is tapping! Great win for Fisher!
