Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Priksonik Weskauss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ursher Baby! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weskauss takes the fight into the clinch. Weskauss fails to pull guard.
Weskauss tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Baby wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Weskauss has him pressed against the cage. Baby breaks from the clinch.
Weskauss is looking to clinch but Baby is avoiding it.
Weskauss tries to clinch but Baby moves away letting Baby counter with a right hand. Weskauss fails in his attempt to clinch. Baby unleashes a big counter combination but Weskauss bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Weskauss is looking to clinch. Baby is looking for the big counter here. Weskauss tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Baby shapes to counter with a head kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Weskauss looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Weskauss wants to clinch but Baby slips to the side and Baby counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Weskauss wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weskauss is looking to clinch. Weskauss tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A nice side step and Baby releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Baby circles away from the clinch attempt and Baby makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Weskauss wants to clinch. Weskauss tries to clinch up but Baby circles away and keeps his distance. Weskauss fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weskauss tries to clinch but Baby moves out of range. Baby throws out a counter right but Weskauss avoids it with no problem. Weskauss doesn't manage to clinch there - Baby circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Baby misses. Weskauss wants to clinch and Baby counters with a nice right hand that sends Weskauss toppling to the canvas! Weskauss scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Baby finish him?!
Weskauss is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baby circles away from the clinch attempt and Baby rattles Weskauss with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Weskauss tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Baby dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Weskauss stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ursher Baby! After winning the bout, Ursher Baby thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
