Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 25 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Mancini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Brooksbank!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooksbank tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mancini cracks Brooksbank with an open hand slap.
Brooksbank throws a quick inside leg kick.
Brooksbank moves in looking to clinch but Mancini pushes him off.
Mancini throws the left hand but Brooksbank avoids the punch easily.
Mancini swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brooksbank takes a swing at Mancini's ribcage but misses.
Mancini lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Brooksbank tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Mancini makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mancini really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mancini has Brooksbank up against the ropes in a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Mancini swings wildly with an uppercut but Brooksbank uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mancini tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Brooksbank stalling in the clinch but Mancini improves position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Brooksbank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mancini has a couple of punches blocked by Brooksbank.
We've been informed that Brooksbank has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Mancini is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Brooksbank wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Mancini.
Mancini scores with a shoulder strike.
Mancini lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Brooksbank.

Brooksbank escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brooksbank lands a right hook to the body.
Brooksbank staggers Mancini with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Mancini looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! No! He's back down again! 9...10 - he's can't beat the count and Brooksbank is victorious!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dave Brooksbank!
After winning the bout, Dave Brooksbank thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
