Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Rothstein (ranked 4496 p4p, 425 weight class) and Abdulmuslim Malikov (ranked 23277 p4p, 543 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdulmuslim Malikov!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rothstein clinches up against the cage.
Rothstein unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Rothstein content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rothstein stops a takedown attempt from Malikov.
Rothstein lands a good knee to the midsection. Malikov won't want to take too many of those.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Rothstein throws a leg kick which misses Malikov's front leg but catches the back leg as Malikov tries to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rothstein is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Malikov won't allow Rothstein to get back to his feet.
Malikov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rothstein holds on and takes a little breather.

Malikov stands up over Rothstein, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Malikov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Malikov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Malikov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Malikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rothstein has momentary wrist control but Malikov slips an elbow through the middle.
Rothstein is rocked!
Malikov chips away with some ground and pound.
Oh Rothstein is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Malikov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Rothstein covers up, he's hurt! Malikov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Malikov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Malikov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abdulmuslim Malikov!
In his post fight interview, Abdulmuslim Malikov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
