Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cox comes to the cage accompanied by Super Sic Wit It. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cox clinches. Cox keeps control of Hanson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hanson wants a takedown but no success here.
Cox gets underhooks to prevent Hanson's takedown attempt.
Cox connects with a knee to the head.

Hanson has Cox pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cox manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Stanley Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Hanson. Cox lands a nice elbow. Cox scores with a knee to the head.
Cox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cox scores with a kick to the body.
A head kick lands from Cox that sends Hanson to the canvas. Hanson tries to scramble back to his feet but Cox brings him back down into side control.
Hanson is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hanson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hanson is still in real trouble! Can Cox finish him? Hanson being controlled for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hanson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hanson seems to have recovered his senses. Hanson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson wants to get back to full guard. Hanson looking for submissions off his back. Hanson looks gassed! Hanson is trying to get back to full guard. Cox tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hanson. Hanson tries to get to full guard but Cox has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cox tries to clinch but Hanson moves out of range. Hanson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Hanson or perhaps it was just good defense by Cox which made him look bad. Hanson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cox swivels and escapes. Cox throws a series of punches but Hanson avoids them all with ease. Hanson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cox looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hanson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hanson moves into full mount! Hanson moves to back control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cox knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cox for a finish. Hanson looking for the RNC. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hanson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Cox! Can he survive? No! He's out! Hanson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
