PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Volz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eun Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volz comes into the arena with Anthem of Courage blaring out of the sound system. Park is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Im on a Boat. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volz fails to land with a series of punches.

Volz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Volz drops Park with a right and a left! Volz comes rushing in but Park regains his composure and manages to keep Volz in guard.

Park is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Park has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Volz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Park is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Volz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Park on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Park takes a body punch but keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice uppercut lands for Volz. That snapped Park's head back.
Eun Park has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Victor Volz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Volz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Volz lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Volz.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Volz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
