Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Stickmann lands an impressive looking overhand right. Murry doesn't seem phased though.
Murry takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Murry throws a big shot that misses.

Murry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stickmann, pushing him back against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murry takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Murry shoots in but Stickmann avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Murry closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Murry jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stickmann walks away with a smile on his face. Murry gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Stickmann throws out a leg kick but Murry moves out of range and Stickmann only half commits.

Murry is trying to drag Stickmann to the mat but Stickmann just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Murry has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stickmann after a bit of a struggle.

Murry jumps guard and drags Stickmann to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stickmann is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Stickmann is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Stickmann postures up in Murry's guard and throws a big left but Murry blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Murry looks for a takedown but Stickmann sprawls well.
Stickmann leaves Murry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Stickmann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Murry sprawls well. Murry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stickmann gets slowly back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stickmann prevents a takedown attempt there.
Murry tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stickmann just stands there and leans against the cage.
Stickmann has a couple of punches blocked by Murry.
Stickmann misses with the head strike.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rod Stickmann dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Murry dives in and grabs Stickmann's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stickmann pushes down on Murry's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Murry is defended easily by Stickmann.
Stickmann is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Murry throws a body punch but Stickmann moves out of range.
Stickmann tries to land a leg kick but Murry saw it coming and moves away.
Stickmann uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Stickmann is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Murry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stickmann connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Murry's hands.
Murry takes a swing at Stickmann's ribcage but misses.
Stickmann tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Murry paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Good exchange - Stickmann coming out on top.

Murry half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Stickmann thuds his right hand into Murry's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stickmann lands a slapping body shot.
Stickmann lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


Murry is rocked!
Stickmann has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Stickmann counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
