Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seymour Townsend (ranked 24124 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnson Negreiros (ranked 2945 p4p, 362 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Townsend clinches up against the cage.
Negreiros works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Townsend is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Negreiros is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Townsend dives into side control.

The referee asks Townsend politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Townsend prefers to stall for the moment though.
Townsend gets to mount! Negreiros was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's time! Townsend's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Townsend shoots in and drives through. Negreiros sprawls well.

and Negreiros connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Townsend tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Townsend slips a jab and a cross from Negreiros.
It looked like Townsend was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Negreiros.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Negreiros connects with a nice short shot to Townsend's temple.
Oh Townsend is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Negreiros lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Townsend quite badly. Townsend pulls Negreiros in close trying to recover. Negreiros postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Townsend on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Townsend doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
