Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, TyLaw Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Kriss!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz fails to land the takedown.
Nice shot by Kriss.
Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kriss defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Kriss into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kriss throws a looping overhand right but Diaz ducks down to avoid it.
Kriss lands with a nice body punch.
Chris Kriss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kriss stuffs the takedown.
Kriss swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TyLaw Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kriss connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet.
Kriss lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kriss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Kriss.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Kriss shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kriss misses with a two punch combination.
Kriss wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kriss loads up on a big right hand but Diaz slips the punch.
Kriss leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Diaz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Diaz avoids the body shot from Kriss.
Kriss pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kriss connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Chris Kriss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kriss throws out a loose jab but Diaz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Diaz shoots in but Kriss avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kriss bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A punch combination from Kriss misses.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kriss is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Kriss circles away and we're back to standing.
Kriss scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kriss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kriss looks winded!
Kriss feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Diazs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


Diaz is rocked!
Diaz on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Kriss sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice straight punches there by Kriss. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kriss.
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Diaz is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Kriss moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Kriss!
Chris Kriss decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
