The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

May closes the distance and pushes Shepherd back into the cage.
Shepherd is trying to drag May to the mat but May just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Shepherd changes levels and goes for a takedown here. May fights it off and pushes away nicely.
May scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Teddy Shepherd has been cut.

May has Shepherd up against the cage in a clinch.
May tries to land knees in the clinch but Shepherd avoids the damage to the body.

May breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
May wants to clinch up but Shepherd keeps it at a distance.

May gets a clinch.
Shepherd prevents May from breaking the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shepherd.

Shepherd prevents a takedown attempt there.

Shepherd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
May wants to clinch up but Shepherd keeps it at a distance.
Shepherd throws a counter combo.

May sends Shepherd crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! May is motioning to the referee to let Shepherd up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
May drops Shepherd with a big left hand! Shepherd is injured, injured bad! May jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
