The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard.
Johnson wants to stand but Duterte is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Duterte comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Duterte connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Duterte slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Duterte counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Duterte sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jrayden Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Duterte rushes Johnson and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Johnson is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Duterte piles on the pressure and Johnson crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
