Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stacy Singleton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Billel Caca! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caca scores with a takedown into Singleton's guard. Singleton throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Caca escapes and throws Singleton's legs to the side, diving into side control! Caca working the ground and pound but Singleton is defending the strikes. Singleton tries to strike but it doesn't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Singleton is looking for a sweep. Singleton is working to avoid the ground and pound but Caca connects with a decent elbow. Caca working the ground and pound but Singleton is defending the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singleton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Caca stalling. Let's hope that Caca has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Caca might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Singleton works his way to full guard. Good work. Caca not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Caca postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Singleton looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Caca passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Singleton keeping control of the position. Caca wants to stand but Singleton has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Singleton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caca on the ground. Caca stands up from half guard. Caca clinches with his opponent.
Caca tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Caca slows down the pace here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caca manages to pull guard.
Caca working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Singleton. Caca managing to control the position. Singleton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Caca is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Caca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Singleton is just riding it out for now. Caca eventually gives up the hold. Singleton is trying to stand back up but Caca is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caca wants to control but Singleton is keeping him busy. Singleton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Singleton has one foot on Caca's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Caca shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Caca slips nicely into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Caca wants to stand but Singleton has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Caca sitting and controlling from the half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Singleton actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billel Caca dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Caca lands with a punch from half guard. Caca is trying to control. Singleton wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. That's two minutes gone in the round. Caca loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Singleton scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Caca land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Caca stands and salutes the crowd.
