Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Palmer Walker (ranked 24714 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sal Iva (ranked 4667 p4p, 0 weight class). Sal Iva has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Palmer Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sal Iva! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Iva napping and manages to drive through into side control! Iva sneaks back into half guard. Iva is concentrating on defense, preventing Walker from advancing position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iva wants to improve his position but Walker is controlling well.
Iva keeps trying to improve his position. Walker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iva works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker throwing strikes but missing. Iva pulls Walker in to control the position. Iva is continuing to stall. Walker tries to stand but Iva is controlling from the bottom. Iva has control of Walker's left arm, preventing Walker from doing any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Iva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Iva is thwarting Walker's attempts to control the position. Iva trying to control the pace. Walker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker trying to hold on to Iva's head to control him but Iva postures up.
Iva looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Iva moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Walker manages to pull guard.
Iva is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Let's hope that Iva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Walker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Walker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iva on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Walker is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Palmer Walker will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Iva punishes Walker's body with a nice straight punch. Iva just misses with a punch to the body.
Iva throws a leg kick and Walker counters with a one-two to the body. Walker takes the fight into the clinch. Walker turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Iva tries to buck Walker off but Walker is having none of it. Walker in the domination position with Iva hanging on. Iva is trying to control Walker's posture but Walker avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iva holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Iva manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Iva is working for a kimura but Walker is defending it quite comfortably.
Walker is looking for a sweep. Iva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Iva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Iva. Iva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Walker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Iva content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Iva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. More stalling from Iva. Iva is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now. Iva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Iva keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Walker is trying to get back to full guard. Iva performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Palmer Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Walker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Iva's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Palmer Walker dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Iva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Walker is trying to defend but Iva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Iva takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Walker wants to get back to full guard. Iva is taking a breather. Walker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Walker is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Iva fails to advance to Walker's back. Iva looking to control and managing it successfully. Iva moves to the back position. Iva is persistently looking for the submission but Walker is defending it well.
Iva controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Iva is working for a rear naked choke. Walker is not defending it well and Iva has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Walker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Walker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sal Iva!
