Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Ghost (ranked 3794 p4p, 389 weight class) and Jax Dempsey (ranked 4288 p4p, 412 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jax Dempsey!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ghost moves away.
Ghost closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dempsey circles away.
Dempsey throws a fast counter high kick but Ghost manages to duck under it in time.
Ghost fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dempsey avoids it really well and circles away.
Ghost shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dempsey as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jasper Ghost. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dempsey darts in and clinches Ghost up against the cage.
Ghost jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dempsey walks away with a smile on his face. Ghost gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ghost drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Dempsey is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ghost is aware though and is defending well.

Ghost is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ghost drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dempsey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ghost has Dempsey in his guard.

Ghost looking for a guillotine here but Dempsey defends easily.

Dempsey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ghost has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dempsey has managed to get both his arms back between Ghost's legs - danger averted.

Ghost pushes a forearm under Dempsey's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dempsey is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Jasper Ghost got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
