Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Benn Jr (ranked 1485 p4p, 195 weight class) and Darrel Petersen (ranked 1677 p4p, 218 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Benn Jr at a distance.
Benn Jr takes a swing at Petersen's ribcage but misses.
A little jabbing left from Petersen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Benn Jr sizes up Petersen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Petersen cracks Benn Jr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Petersen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Benn Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Petersen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Benn Jr's guard.
Benn Jr is looking to stand up but Petersen isn't so interested in that idea.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nigel Benn Jr.
I think Benn Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
