The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons gets caught napping as Hooper dives in and scores a takedown. Simmons manages to retain guard.
Simmons is trying to keep Hooper in close.
Simmons thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hooper's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Simmons is trying to control the position but Hooper postures up.
Hooper stands and throws Simmons's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Simmons wants to get back to his feet but Hooper drags him back down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hooper quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Hooper but it's paid off an Simmons is forced to tap! Nice work by Hooper.
