The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walsh clinches.

Walsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Clarkson is trying to trip Walsh. He has hold of a leg but Walsh is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Clarkson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Walsh has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Clarkson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Walsh lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Clarkson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Clarkson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walsh is staying active underneath Clarkson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Clarkson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Walsh has managed to free his arm - good work.

Clarkson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Walsh clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
