Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zard fails with a takedown attempt.
Zard gets a clinch.
Zard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oyalade, pushing him back against the cage.
Oyalade is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Zard to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zard is stalling here.
Zard ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Zard no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oyalade trying to control but Zard is working from the bottom.
Oyalade might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zard haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Zard is looking to stand up but Oyalade isn't so interested in that idea.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oyalade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Oyalade dives in and grabs Zard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zard pushes down on Oyalade's head and hops out.
Oyalade misses with a series of wild punches.

and Zard holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Meyn Zard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephen Oyalade.
Oyalade wants to stall.

Zard lands an elbow that stopped Oyalade in his tracks for a moment.
Zard has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Oyalade is trying to keep an underhook but Zard manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Oyalade has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Zard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oyalade has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zard has managed to get both his arms back between Oyalade's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Oyalade wants to stand up but Zard is controlling him.

It looked like Zard was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Oyalade enables Zard to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Oyalade manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Oyalade throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That was a close second round but I would say that Meyn Zard will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Zard leaves Oyalade with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
