The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater gets caught napping as Nurmagomedov dives in and scores a takedown. Slater manages to retain guard.
Nurmagomedov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slater has control of Nurmagomedov's left arm, preventing Nurmagomedov from doing any damage.
Nurmagomedov stops Slater from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slater is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
