Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Hammerfall-Last man standing. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horse shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Horse was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Steel cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Horse seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Horse is looking to improve his position.
Horse is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Horse tries to kick Steel off but Steel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Steel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Horse keeps working.
Horse tries to get to full guard but Steel has control of the leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horse shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Horse counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Horse closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Horse lands in his opponent's guard.
Steel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephan Steel dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Horse goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Horse doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Steel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Horse won't be happy with that.
Steel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Horse down.
You can see the frustration on Horse's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Steel scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Horse to see if he's OK.
Horse looks to move to half guard but instead Steel has passed into mount! Damn!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Horse looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Steel! Submission of the night perhaps?
