The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VanDam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Peterson drives through and clinches with VanDam against the cage.
VanDam is trying to break the clinch but Peterson is controlling him.
VanDam is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Peterson can't fight it off and eventually VanDam manages to take the fight to the floor. Peterson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Peterson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but VanDam is defending well. Peterson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! VanDam has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Peterson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
