Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Boaler!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston looks to land a combination but Boaler avoids it well.
Kingston misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kingston doesn't manage to clinch there - Boaler circles away.
Bobby Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingston tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boaler paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Boaler.
Boaler has control of an arm but Kingston manages to advance to Boaler's back!
I really don't envy Boaler right now.
Boaler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kingston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kingston is looking to control Boaler but Boaler is wriggling around and keeping busy.
You can see the frustration on Boaler's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Kingston is persistently looking for the submission but Boaler is defending it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kingston is trying to stick to Boaler's back but Boaler is turning into Kingston. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kingston's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Boaler.

Boaler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kingston is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boaler defends well.
Kingston is breathing heavily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Boaler tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingston is retaining full guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Boaler has eaten all the pies!
Kingston gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Boaler wants to control the pace but Kingston is squirming around nicely.

Boaler wants to finish this one by submission but Kingston is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Boaler.

Kingston has given up his back. Will we see Boaler going for some submissions?
My spies in Island Sparring inform me that Boaler has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Boaler is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kingston is defending well though. Boaler let's go of the attempt for now.
