Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reijo Halli (ranked 4045 p4p, 344 weight class) and Abdul Nurmy (ranked 23320 p4p, 499 weight class). Abdul Nurmy struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reijo Halli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Nurmy! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Darius Henderson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nurmy throws a leg kick that is checked and Halli counters with a single leg into guard. Nurmy didn't expect that. Halli looking to pass the guard. Halli is pushing down on Nurmy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nurmy is fighting to maintain full guard but Halli has managed to sneak the leg through. Nurmy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Halli passes to side control. Halli wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nurmy, who protects the arm well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Halli tries to advance to mount but Nurmy denies him. Halli is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halli is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nurmy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. You can see the frustration on Nurmy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Halli tries for a kimura but Nurmy is defending well. Nurmy is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Halli scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nurmy to see if he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halli is trying to get an arm triangle but Nurmy is defending well. Halli swings around for an armbar but Nurmy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Halli's guard. Nurmy won't allow Halli to sweep him here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Halli is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Halli wants to work for an arm triangle but Nurmy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nurmy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Halli pulls his head out easily. Halli is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nurmy sees it coming and defends easily. Halli looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Halli has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nurmy defend it? Halli steps over the head and cranks it - Nurmy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Halli!
