Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Alistair Spong (ranked 414 p4p, 56 weight class) and Miko Dimelo (ranked 19329 p4p, 634 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimelo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Spong.
Spong blocks a head kick by Dimelo.
Spong avoids a kick to the body.
Spong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dimelo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Spong tries to clinch up but Dimelo circles away and keeps his distance.
Dimelo checks the leg kick.
Spong tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Dimelo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dimelo tries to close the distance and clinch but Spong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dimelo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dimelo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Spong's calf.

Spong has his opponent in a tight Thai clinch and unloads with a massive knee that drops Dimelo to the canvas! Can Dimelo beat the count? 3,4,5,6 and he's up... is he? Yes, he's up! The referee is taking a long look at him and he's waved off the fight! He didn't think Dimelo was in a fit state to continue so this fight is over! Spong is your winner!
