PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Nameless Fighter (ranked 3777 p4p, 324 weight class) and John Lennon (ranked 4830 p4p, 377 weight class). Fighter comes to the ring accompanied by Dan Balan Like. John Lennon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nameless Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Lennon!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lennon throws a body shot but no joy.
A punch combination from Fighter misses.
Fighter throws a series of punches but Lennon moves out of range.
Fighter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Lennon throws a head kick that misses.
It looked like Fighter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fighter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A punch combination from Fighter misses.
Fighter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lennon.
Lennon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fighter misses with a series of wild punches.
Fighter's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Fighter duly obliges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fighter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lennon circles away quickly and effectively.

Fighter swings wildly with an uppercut but Lennon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lennon lands a hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lennon cracks Fighter with a nice body shot.
Fighter gets through Lennon's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Lennon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fighter backwards.
Still in the clinch, Lennon scores with a nice short uppercut.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lennon throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Fighter is breathing heavily.
Lennon comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Lennon lands a body shot in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Lennon dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lennon staggers Fighter with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Fighter looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! No! He's back down again! 9...10 - he's can't beat the count and Lennon is victorious!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John Lennon!
John Lennon decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
The defeated Nameless Fighter had this to say: 'I will be back And I`ll win YOU MOTH****CKERS!'.
