Starman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by David Bowie - Starman. John Starman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ernest Graves's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ernest Graves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Starman! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starman blocks a jab. Starman clinches with his opponent.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Graves. Starman struggles to land a body shot inside as Graves controls his hands.

Starman pushes Graves back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've been informed that Starman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Graves avoiding damage as Starman throws knees to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Graves swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Starman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Graves has him pressed against the cage. Graves has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Starman clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Starman is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Graves off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Graves is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Starman is defending well though. Graves let's go of the attempt for now. Will Graves go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Graves is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Starman with him. Starman is trying to defend but Graves has an arm under the chin now! Starman grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ernest Graves! An out of breath Ernest Graves thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. John Starman spoke after the fight, saying 'Come on not again!'.
