Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleon Wright (ranked 1317 p4p, 188 weight class) and Rama Arjuna (ranked 849 p4p, 117 weight class). Arjuna is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Om. Cleon Wright has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cleon Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rama Arjuna! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright connects with a leg kick. Arjuna looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Wright takes a swing at Arjuna's ribcage but misses. Cleon Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wright thows a left - swing and a miss! Wright lands a body shot.
Wright scores with a jab. Wright throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Arjuna sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wright ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wright is looking to chop away at Arjuna's legs. Arjuna slips under a jab from Wright. Arjuna unleashes a big counter combination but Wright bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arjuna checks a leg kick. Wright scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Wright lands a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arjuna chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wright can pounce on him.
Wright lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wright connects with a solid leg kick. Arjuna keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wright. And Arjuna responds with a good body kick, but Wright manages to step out the way in time. Wright throws a hook but Arjuna blocks it. Arjuna blocks a head kick by Wright.
Arjuna is looking for the big counter here. A punch combination from Wright misses. Wright lands a jab-cross combination. Wright just misses with a punch to the body.
Arjuna is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Wright throws a low kick but it's checked well by Arjuna.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright misses the jab. Wright throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Arjuna sees it coming and avoids it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Arjuna! But no joy. Wright moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Wright swings for the body but Arjuna moves out of range.
Arjuna unleashes a big counter combination but Wright bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Arjuna takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Arjuna moves forwards but Wright connects with a nice, crisp jab. Arjuna takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Wright digs a good hook to Arjuna's body.
Wright throws a front kick aimed at Arjuna's knee but Arjuna avoids it well. Arjuna tries a quick counter leg kick but Wright is wise to it. Jab, jab by Wright - just one landing. Wright scores with a jab to the jaw. Wright is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wright throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wright darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Wright misses the body punch and Arjuna counters with a crisp one two that drops Wright! Arjuna thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Wright to his feet! Wright is in big trouble!
Wright is rocked! Wright throws a right hand that misses
and Arjuna counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Wright badly! Arjuna follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Wright out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Arjuna finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rama Arjuna! An out of breath Rama Arjuna thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
