Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Nogueira (ranked 23204 p4p, 164 weight class) and Theodore Rothschild (ranked 6329 p4p, 154 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Nogueira ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Theodore Rothschild! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rothschild. Rothschild closes the distance and clinches up with Nogueira , looking for a takedown. Rothschild pushes Nogueira against the cage but Nogueira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rothschild fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Anderson Nogueira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theodore Rothschild. Rothschild shoots in and gets a takedown into Nogueira 's guard. Nogueira trying to control the position here. Nogueira wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nogueira is pulling down on Rothschild's head. It's preventing any offense from Rothschild, at least for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nogueira , right into the meat.
Rothschild on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rothschild fails with the takedown. Nogueira thinks about countering with a head kick. Nogueira gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nogueira has control of Rothschild's left arm, preventing Rothschild from doing any damage. Rothschild controlling from the top position. Nogueira wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nogueira continues to stall. More hug and hope from Nogueira . We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nogueira instigates a clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A head punch blocked on the inside by Nogueira . Rothschild lands with a right to the head. Rothschild wants to get back to striking at distance but Nogueira won't allow it.

Rothschild shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nogueira sprawls well. Nogueira wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rothschild gets slowly back to his feet. Nogueira clinches with his opponent.

Nogueira looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rothschild feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rothschild stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nogueira swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rothschild advances to half guard.

A close second round but Theodore Rothschild will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Nogueira fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rothschild, pushing him back against the cage. Nogueira breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rothschild is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Nogueira is looking to pass into half guard but Rothschild pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rothschild is in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Nogueira looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Nogueira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rothschild's guard.

It looked like Nogueira was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nogueira looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rothschild is trying to counter with his kicks. Anderson Nogueira has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rothschild shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nogueira manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Nogueira throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rothschild uses it to pass to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Nogueira showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rothschild has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
