Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Lanus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Brooklyn! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooklyn throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Brooklyn shoots in and drives through. Lanus sprawls well. Brooklyn shoots in for a double leg but Lanus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brooklyn fails with a takedown attempt. Ryan Lanus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Brooklyn. Nice takedown defense from Brooklyn. No joy for Lanus on that attempt. Brooklyn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brooklyn lands in his opponent's guard. Lanus seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Brooklyn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lanus is breathing heavily. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lanus holds on and takes a little breather. Lanus keeping moving, preventing Brooklyn from controlling successfully. Brooklyn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Brooklyn forces his way into half guard. Lanus is staying active underneath Brooklyn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brooklyn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Brooklyn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Chris Brooklyn just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lanus dodges the punch combination from Brooklyn.
Brooklyn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lanus missing with punches from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. I looks like Brooklyn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Brooklyn wants to control but Lanus is keeping him busy. Brooklyn has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brooklyn looking to control and managing it successfully. Brooklyn wants to control the pace but Lanus is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lanus working to try and regain half guard.
Brooklyn has control of Lanus's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lanus regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brooklyn trying to control but Lanus is having none of it. Brooklyn content just to control the position here. Lanus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brooklyn misses with a takedown attempt and Lanus counters with a takedown into side control. Ryan Lanus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Brooklyn. Brooklyn is trying to control Lanus's posture but Lanus avoids it. Lanus throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Brooklyn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Brooklyn makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Brooklyn scores with a kick to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lanus fails in his attempt to clinch. Brooklyn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brooklyn lands in his opponent's guard. Lanus wants to stand and escape but Brooklyn is having none of it. Lanus keeping moving, preventing Brooklyn from controlling successfully. Lanus throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brooklyn trying to control the position from guard on top but Lanus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Brooklyn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lanus is looking to get back to is feet but Brooklyn passes into side control.

Chris Brooklyn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Chris Brooklyn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Brooklyn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
