Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lucio Domicio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gabriel Fraga! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fraga throws a head kick that misses. As Fraga tries to get set, Domicio tries to push him back and clinch up but Fraga manages to avoid the attempt. Domicio throws a jab when Fraga was well out of range. Fraga misses the shot to the body. Fraga misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Domicio attempts a counter takedown but Fraga avoids it well and moves away. A big left from Fraga misses. Fraga looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Domicio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fraga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Domicio moves away. Fraga misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Domicio.

and Domicio counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Domicio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fraga keeps working. Fraga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Domicio wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Domicio in side control, just content to control the action for now. Domicio is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fraga has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Domicio trying to control the action but Fraga is working from the bottom. The referee asks Domicio politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Domicio prefers to stall for the moment though. Domicio has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Domicio tries to advance to mount but can't. Domicio works to advance to full mount. Fraga defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fraga is working to get back to half guard.
Domicio working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Domicio can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fraga is looking to escape. Domicio working for a submission but Fraga is keeping him at bay. Fraga has given up his back.
Domicio patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Fraga rolls, trying to escape but Domicio keeps control of the position.
Domicio sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Fraga taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lucio Domicio!
