The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva misses with a wild body shot.
Da Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Da Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
O Connell has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Da Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with O Connell's head.
It looks like Daniel O Connell has been cut.
Da Silva clobbers O Connell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Da Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but O Connell manages to avoid it.

Da Silva has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but O Connell is on him like a limpet, forcing Da Silva back against the cage.

It looked like Da Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Da Silva dips a shoulder and cracks O Connell with a mighty uppercut! O Connell falls back against the cage and Da Silva unloads with a barrage of strikes! O Connell is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Da Silva screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
