The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morissette gets tackled into the cage by Tonon. Tonon maintains the clinch.
Morissette breaks the clinch.
Tonon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tonon has Morissette pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tonon pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Morissette tumbling to the mat - Tonon dives into Morissette's guard.
Tonon is standing up over Morissette. Morissette looks to escape but Tonon dives into side control.
Morissette is trying to escape the position but Tonon is controlling the position.

Tonon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Tonon is trying to get an arm triangle but Morissette is defending well.
Morissette is trying to buck Tonon off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tonon has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Morissette!

Morissette is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tonon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Morissette for as long as he can get away with.
Tonon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Morissette is trying to stand up.
Tonon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Morissette looks a forlorn figure.
Tonon landing strikes from the mount and Morissette is in trouble!
Morissette is rocked!
Morissette really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tonon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tonon cracks Morissette with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
