Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jones sprawls and moves away.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mike Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Walker gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage.
Walker feinted with a counter takedown.
Jones shoots and misses

and Walker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jones!
Kyle Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Jones.

Walker goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Walker but great work by Jones.
Walker prevents Jones from moving into mount.
Jones tries to stand but Walker is controlling his head.
Walker regains half guard.
Walker is trying to control but can't.
Walker is trying to get back to full guard.

Jones is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Walker is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jones has his hands clasped together but Walker extends and breaks Jones's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Walker.
