Brown is looking to land body kicks.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A telegraphed right hand from Brown misses the target.
Nice defenses there by Grove.
Brown misses with a wild combination.
Brown throws a wild body kick that Grove sees coming a mile off.
Grove looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brown is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Grove closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brown is doing well to control the position and prevent Grove from advancing to side control.
Grove is taking a breather. Brown says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Brown is trying to stand up here but Grove is controlling him well.

Brown wants to control but Grove is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Grove slips a nice elbow through Brown's hands, connecting with Brown's forehead.

Grove is looking for a kimura but Brown is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Grove to get the leverage.

Brown is looking to control Grove's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted?
Brown desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Brown is trying to stand.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Still in half guard, Grove seems content to control.
Brown is looking to improve his position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Brown preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Brown's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grove is working away from the top position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Grove.
A head kick from Brown lands but Grove takes it in his stride.
Grove is rocked!
Grove is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Brown doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Grove crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Grove's bad books for that mishap!
