Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luis Vega (ranked 2125 p4p, 113 weight class) and Brian Johnson (ranked 22290 p4p, 257 weight class). Vega comes to the cage accompanied by Truth - Atomic thunder. On his way into the cage it seems that Luis Vega has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Luis Vega seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.
Johnson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Vega blocks a low kick nicely.
Johnson throws a leg kick but Vega sees it coming and moves out of range.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed
and Vega counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vega.
Vega scores with a shoulder strike.
Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johnson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Vega swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Vega scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Johnson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vega.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vega misses with a wild body shot.
Johnson throws a solid leg kick but Vega takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Johnson.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Johnson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vega has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vega and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vega gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Vega works Johnson's body with a nice hook.
Vega bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Johnson's head backwards.
Vega lands with an overhand left.
Vega throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Vega takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson throws a big shot that misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Johnson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Vega misses with an uppercut.

Vega sizes up Johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Vega scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Vega is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Vega.
Luis Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Johnson.
Vega connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vega ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.
Johnson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Johnson flicks out a counter leg kick but Vega steps away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Johnson.
Johnson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vega.
Johnson tries to land a front kick but Vega steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
It looked like Vega was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Johnson.
Johnson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Vega cracks Johnson with a hook to the temple - Johnson is on wobbly legs here! Vega swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Johnson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Vega wins by TKO!
