Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wanderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Tambling!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a jab.
Silva walks into a jab.
Wanderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and Tambling connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Silva throws a nice head kick!
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tambling swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva connects with an inside leg kick.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Tambling cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Wanderson Silva has been cut.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Tambling counters with a nice body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tambling scores with a jab to the body.
Silva lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Tambling comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Tambling lands a jab to the head.
Tambling feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tambling finish him?!
Silva is rocked!
Tambling flashes Silva a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Silva's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Silva crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Tambling punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Tambling!
