Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Rojas (ranked 24657 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Minic (ranked 4683 p4p, 500 weight class). Minic has chosen ÄŒavoglave as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Blake Rojas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Minic! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minic closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Blake Rojas has been cut. No luck for Minic with that takedown attempt. Rojas throws a quick counter head kick but Minic was just out of range. Boris Minic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rojas pushes Minic up against the cage in a clinch. Minic tries to land a knee to the head but Rojas blocks with his arms.
Minic keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rojas's efforts to push away. Rojas manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rojas keeping moving, preventing Minic from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Minic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minic would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rojas seems keen to control Minic's posture. Rojas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rojas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rojas controls Minic momentarily but Minic frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Minic tries for a takedown but Rojas circles away easily and Rojas counters with a takedown into side control. Minic is looking to regain half guard here but Rojas keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Minic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Minic tries to improve position but can't. Rojas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rojas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Minic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rojas tries for a kimura but Minic is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojas has control of an arm but Minic manages to advance to Rojas's back! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rojas grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Minic is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Rojas just trying to survive but Minic is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Minic has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Minic looks winded! Minic is looking for the choke from the back position but Rojas is controlling his hands well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Minic's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Rojas is really stuck here.
Rojas is trying to get back to his feet but Minic has full control of the position and if anything, Rojas has just worked his way into a worse spot. Minic is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rojas manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Rojas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rojas lands in his opponent's guard. Rojas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rojas sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Boris Minic will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Blake Rojas's cut. That's time! Rojas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rojas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rojas working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Rojas tries for a kimura but Minic is defending well. Rojas lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Minic down.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rojas wants to control but Minic is keeping him busy. Rojas tries for a kimura but Minic is defending well. Minic is looking for a sweep. Blake Rojas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rojas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rojas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Minic regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Minic is defending against the submission attempts here by Rojas.
Minic is trying to control but can't.
Rojas slips a nice elbow through Minic's hands, connecting with Minic's forehead. Rojas lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Minic is looking to get back to is feet but Rojas passes into side control.
Minic is looking for a sweep. Minic is breathing heavily. Rojas working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rojas advances to full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blake Rojas dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Blake Rojas's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Nice sprawl there from Rojas as Minic shoots in. Minic misses with a takedown attempt - Rojas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rojas appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Minic has managed to clinch.
Minic fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Blake Rojas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Minic. Rojas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boris Minic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rojas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Minic. Rojas moves into the clinch. Minic drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rojas pulls his leg out and moves away.
Minic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Minic has Rojas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rojas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Minic is looking to break free of the clinch but Rojas has double underhooks. Minic is trying to break the clinch but Rojas has him pressed against the cage. Rojas breaks the clinch.
Rojas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Minic can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rojas is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A low kick from Minic is predictable there and Rojas counters with a shoot takedown. Minic fights it but they end up in guard. Rojas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Rojas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Minic manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rojas has Minic in his guard.
Rojas pushes Minic off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Minic throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Rojas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Rojas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rojas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Minic keeping moving, preventing Rojas from controlling successfully. Minic managing to control the position. Minic wants to control but Rojas passes easily into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Minic trying to control but Rojas postures up.
Minic is looking for a sweep. Rojas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rojas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Minic is just riding it out for now. Rojas eventually gives up the hold. Minic is trying to maintain the position but Rojas is very close to passing his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Blake Rojas showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rojas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
