Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Garrison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Browning! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Browning instigates a clinch. Garrison wants a takedown but no success here.
Browning is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Garrison can't fight it off and eventually Browning manages to take the fight to the floor. Garrison looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Browning looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Browning trying to control the position from guard on top but Garrison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garrison has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Browning is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. A frustrated look appears on Garrison's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Browning blocks an elbow strike. Browning drags the fight down to the ground.
Garrison connects with a couple of short punches. Browning working for a triangle but Garrison defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garrison trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Browning wriggles free and stands up. Browning moves into the clinch successfully.
Browning has hold of one of Garrison's legs. Garrison is fighting the takedown attempt but Browning gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Garrison pushes Browning off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Browning circles away from the clinch attempt.

Browning must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Browning trying to control but Garrison is working from the bottom. Garrison looking for a sweep. Not yet Garrison, not yet. Browning throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Garrison works some decent striking defense from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Browning accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Browning seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Browning wants to control from the top but Garrison keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Garrison gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Browning to score an easy takedown into full guard. Garrison is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Browning presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Garrison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garrison fails in his attempt to clinch. Browning looking to score a takedown here. Garrison is defending well but Browning drives through and ends up in Garrison's guard. Browning is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Browning postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Garrison is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Browning, into his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Browning trying to keep a closed guard but Garrison is proving a slippery customer.
Browning bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Garrison's guard. Garrison pulls Browning in close to prevent any damage. Garrison keeping full guard, as Browning tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dennis Garrison will probably get the nod. That's time! Garrison's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Browning looking to sit in guard and control but Garrison gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Browning is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Garrison is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Browning wants to sweep but no luck. Garrison postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Garrison has gone for a leg lock! Browning slips out almost immediately though and dives into Garrison's guard. Garrison controlling the position. Garrison keeping moving, preventing Browning from controlling successfully. Browning drops back, looking for a kneebar! Garrison looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Garrison looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Garrison!

Browning avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Garrison. Browning manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Browning is doing well to control the position and prevent Garrison from advancing to side control. Garrison is looking for a kimura but Browning is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garrison to get the leverage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Browning is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Garrison has latched onto it... Big trouble! Garrison pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Browning is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Garrison!
