The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pastra is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pastra tries to clinch up but Albruck circles away and keeps his distance. No luck for Pastra with that takedown attempt. Pastra wants to clinch up but Albruck keeps it at a distance. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Albruck!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Albruck works to advance to full mount. Pastra defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Albruck swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pastra is now in Albruck's guard. A big mistake from Albruck there, giving up the dominant position! Albruck has a closed guard, preventing Pastra from standing up.

Albruck is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pastra can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Albruck seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pastra does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pastra is trying to stand up here but Albruck is controlling him well. Pastra looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pastra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Albruck scores with a takedown into Pastra's guard. Pastra had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Albruck is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pastra Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Albruck's back instead. Albruck can't escape the position.

Albruck is in a bad position with Pastra working for a choke. Albruck manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Albruck slips nicely into half guard. Pastra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Albruck is proving hard to escape from. Pastra wants to control from the top but Albruck keeps moving. Pastra stopping the sweep attempt from Albruck. Pastra wants to stand but Albruck is controlling his posture from full guard. Travis Pastra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Heinz Albruck is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Albruck utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Heinz Albruck comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Albruck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
